Job Title: Resource Planning Manager, Associate Director

The Resource Planning Manager is responsible for proactively and efficiently managing resource allocation; understanding current resource, business pipeline, and people performance; ensuring optimum talent and utilisation rates and providing strategic insights to the Advisory & Transactions consulting business (Core Advisory). 

Core Advisory is made up of five service lines specialising in Workplace Strategy & Change, Occupancy Management, Portfolio Strategy, Talent & Location and Supply Chain & Consumer Advisory, offering real estate consulting services across EMEA with c.£22m of revenue per annum serviced by c.180 employees. Working directly with Core Advisory’s leadership and operational teams, you will drive all operational people aspects of the business.

The lines of business you will be supporting are dynamic and project based. You will interact regularly with multiple stakeholders, building trusted relationships while also liaising with the wider CBRE People team. As a key member of our operational support team working alongside the Core Advisory COO, you will lead both our day to day resource planning and schedule management, and work closely with our project managers on solving their resourcing needs.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of scheduling and resourcing in a consultancy or projects based business and be able to find dynamic solutions to meet our clients needs. Likewise, be able to prioritise with the leadership team and the relevant CBRE teams’ day to day tasks and projects alike and be able to effectively communicate risks, issues, and achievements.

? Develop and enhance resource planning tools and reporting, to identify workforce gaps inclusive for each service line within Core Advisory. Act as Super User for Timesheet tool. 
? Lead resource tracking and allocation across the team, ensuring information is constantly up to date. 
? Manage headcount requirements and maintain an accurate headcount forecast enabling effective management decisions to be made.
? Drive fee earning population to better manage their demand pipeline and supply resourcing, focusing on achievement of utilisation targets to maximse fee earning time and margin 
? Manage ongoing deployment of staff to clients/assignments balancing the needs of the business with the needs of the individual
? Build relationships with key stakeholders to support and counsel them in resource management matters
? Raise and track all hiring requests via the Business Case system.
? Report on diversity of each service line and proactively seek opportunities to continue to improve the diversity of the team
? Proactively identify/monitor instances of under utilisation and/or resourcing conflicts working with key stakeholders to resolve in a timely manor 
? Work with Core Advisory’s Operational Team, Sales Team and Leadership to understand upcoming pipeline to ensure we have a robust talent pipeline
? Schedule and run weekly status meetings with key stakeholders, presenting headcount/resourcing MI to/forecasting, also including Operations, Finance, People Team and Talent Business Partners. 
? Liaise with the Talent Business Partner to ensure the organisation meets its business and customer satisfaction goals through effective resourcing and talent management. 
? Ensure involvement with the recruitment process for all candidates.
? Facilitate Core Advisory’s participation in talent development programmes such as the Next Generation Graduate Scheme and Internship Partnerships
? Develop, implement, and manage the onboarding of new joiners plus co-ordination of exit and returner process.
? Propose new and creative approaches to resource planning including identification of high performing diverse talent.


? Experience of resource planning in a professional services or consulting environment
? Strong understanding of delivery the commercial and customer value through effective resource planning and capability development
? Adept at using Resource Management tools
? Adept at synthesizing data and management reporting
? Experience of influencing and impacting up to and including Senior Leadership level
? Ability to work effectively, to tight deadlines in a pressured environment
? Able to manage people planning in both the short and long-term
? Solid financial control & acumen 
? A strategic and pragmatic approach towards all resource management issues
? Ability to anticipate risk and prevent where possible with effective solutioning
