CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a QHSE Manager to join the team based in Ireland.

General Responsibilities

1.Ensure a continued process of improvement and support in the standards of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) on the contract.

2.Support adoption of the QHSE strategy for the business in line with the CBRE GWS EMEA Strategic Plan and associated policy and process.

3.Monitor, review and analyse QHSE performance within the account portfolio (including integrated management systems) and identify appropriate initiatives and differentiators to enable performance improvement.

4.Support the development and implementation of the account QHSE strategy to ensure a safe, healthy and compliant working environment whilst furthering best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities

1.Develop and manage the implementation of the account QHSE plan and management system, in line with the divisional and company strategy for QHSE. Adhere to all quality, health & safety, and environmental policies within the account domain.

2.Liaise with respective Account Management & Operational leads to ensure expectations are understood and delivered as far as is reasonable to maintain satisfactory management of potential risk exposures.

3.Support the identification and management of QHSE risk within the account portfolio through the establishment of risk profiles and risk register for the account.

4.Provide guidance and practical expertise on QHSE topics ensuring there is appropriate day-to-day support and guidance to both internal and external customers.

5.Maintain and regularly review all related documentation in line with legal requirements.  Provide updates and ensure documentation is easily available to all personnel, as well as provide training as and when required.

6.Promote the continued development of a strong embedded QHSE culture and high levels of employee awareness within the Irish business. Lead by example and promote best practice at all times with regards to safety at work in all areas.

7.Engage supply chain and ensure expectations are understood through the provision of best in class workshops and in the completion of QHSE Collaboration audits.

8.Support the QHSE Ireland / Divisional QHSE Management team and facilitate necessary dialogue to resolve any resource conflict or related QHSE concern at contract level. 

9.Maintain relationships with industry peers in both client and supplier organisations and develop a culture of sharing best practice and innovation through collaborative working.

10Working with the Electrical and Mechanical Supervisors on site review all submitted method statements, C-MOP’s and risk assessments, ensuring all QHSE aspects are adhered to for approval.

11.Liaise with various regulatory bodies on all QHSE aspects for operations and ongoing projects.

12.Manage all QHSE platforms used on site by CBRE.

13.Management and reporting of Incidents and Accidents; ensuring all events are fully investigated; root causes identified and corrective / preventative actions identified and implemented.

14.Assist with the establishment, mentoring and coaching of contract QHSE Champions across the portfolio.

15.Ensure compliance with all business-wide policy and strategy through management system audits.  Ensure an up to date schedule for necessary and appropriate audits is maintained.

16.Develop and support initiatives and best practice activities in all areas of QHSE management.

17.Support the development and maintenance of the account training strategy.  Support its delivery to enable appropriate standards of QHSE competence to be achieved and maintained.

18.Promote and maintain the behaviours and values of CBRE and client.  

19.Ensure the achievement of agreed functional standards and service level agreements.

20.Compile appropriate performance reports and maintain performance monitoring, analysis and review against established metrics and standards to drive improvements.

21.Support the achievement of good industry practice, business competitiveness, and the development of a learning organisation.

22.Support effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate.

   

Education                                

[Essential] 

Level 8 3rd level Degree– or above

A formal management qualification in health, safety management. Practical application of auditing and membership of IIRSM or IOSH at Diploma level.  

[Desirable]      

Formal qualifications in auditing and quality management. Formal qualification in environmental management or equivalent.
