Responsible for delivering and validating energy, water, carbon, and cost reductions across a the DVLA estate. The Energy Lead shall identify cost savings opportunities, manage initiatives, and engage the CBRE operational team on issues related to energy consumption reduction, energy procurement, energy-related capital projects, renewable energy, carbon emissions and critical environments.
The Energy Lead will ensure that work undertaken, and any related activities are at all times performed in compliance with all applicable Legislation (including all health and safety legislation) and Good Industry Practice
The role of Energy Lead is as follows:
? Will help the Authority to maximise energy efficiency and to achieve environmental compliance by:
o Ensuring all equipment is working efficiently and maintained regularly in accordance with manufacturers guidance or industry best practice.
o Developing and communicating energy and water management policies to save energy, water and operating costs in tandem with the Authority's environmental policies.
o Performing energy and water audits.
o Actively supporting the Authority in achieving its environmental targets by identifying energy, water and carbon reduction and, where approved, assisting implementation of these including, for example: - Reducing water consumption Reducing C02 emissions, Reduction in electricity and gas consumption, Implementing relevant education and training of staff to assist with energy management.
o Liaising with Authority personnel and developing cost budgets and management plans for implementing new energy-related initiatives.
o Advising Trillium and the Authority on initiatives to reduce consumption and associated carbon.
o Provision of appropriate procurement advice on approved Government Call-off contracts.
o Be responsible for the validation of all fuel deliveries, meters, and invoices.
? To develop, communicate and present innovative energy efficiency strategies and standards.
? To develop, track and manage project expenditures and budgets.
? To review, validate and correct energy cost/consumption reports.
? Lease with CBRE energy partners (Optimised Energy) on reporting and invoice processing for electricity, water and gas
? Perform calculations to identify savings from efficiency measures in terms of kWh, CO2, and cost.
? Communicate past, present, and future energy plans and performance through formal presentations to account team and client.
? Support Client energy procurement and implementation of new technologies, including renewable energy solutions
? Support Client’s wider sustainability and corporate social responsibility objectives need and availability of all equipment required to measure, record, and manage the use of utilities.

? Strong quantitative, program management and budget management skills.
? Ability to interpret energy data and use as a basis for reduction strategies.
? Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and energy performance analytics.
? Wider BREEAM/LEED/ISO50001 and sustainability qualifications and experience would be valued, but not required.
