CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a EMEA Engineering Lead to join the team located in Walton Oaks, Dorking. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring successful Engineering and Energy service delivery to the client across the EMEA portfolio.

Role Summary: 

Financial Management
  • Lead the development & execution of site level Engineering budgets and Forecasting in accordance with client and Finance Director requirements
  • Responsible for achievement of the agreed financial targets to include revenue, expenses, savings, and aged debtors
  • Manage the net operating revenue and protect margin for the GWS business; participate in the quarterly forecasting sessions
  • Meet the engineering growth targets for the account; look for opportunities to cross-sell services and work with other business lines to convert
Operational Excellence
  • Ensure MSA & KPI assurance, Local Legislation Compliance, Implementation of Corporate Initiatives, Implementation and evidencing of training and procedure to ISO9001 standard
  • Actively manage the professional development of all direct reports; prepare and implement a succession plan for key positions of direct and in-direct reports
  • Responsible for the implementation of technology systems to support services delivery, including required reporting

Client and Account Management
  • Single point of contact for CBRE GWS engineering service delivery and act as escalation point across the region
  • Accountable for the service delivery to meet the contractual obligations in respect to engineering and sustainability across the account
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders in the client’s organisation
  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding on the client’s business and key factors influencing their requirements for our services
Contract Management
  • Ensure the adherence to the CBRE/Client Master Service Agreement and all Engineering deliverables
  • Be responsible for the achievement of key performance indicators, service levels and other measures as contracted
  • Implement and manage the change control process
  • Manage the governance process for the engineering work streams within the account

Experience Required: 

  • Technically qualified professional with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills – written and spoken
  • Skilled in commercial aspects of engineering contracts; proven Project methodology approach
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to develop processes and procedures
  • Analytical skills / Systematic approach
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in Engineering and 10 years’ experience in senior management position
  • Proven self-starter that consistently delivers to outcome specifications
  • Engineering Degree qualified in an appropriate discipline (e.g. Mechanical/Electrical/Building Systems Engineering)
  • Health and Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH) considered beneficial
