Purpose of the Job
1.Role will have responsibility for leading interaction with Client in Health and Safety, and Sustainability and Environmental matters.
2.Provide Guidance and oversight to the Client, by leveraging operational best practice and expertise.
3.Accountable for the Client Account Risk Management programmes, ensuring statutory compliance at all times
4.Client facing accountable for the implementation of Client’s HSE Strategies such as ISO45001, ISO14001 & Sustainability Programmes.
5.Support the implementation of the Client Health, Safety and Environmental strategy (including that within the specifically defined client area of responsibility) to ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally compliant working environment whilst furthering best practice standards within the business and the supply chain.
6.Establish collaborative ‘working partnerships’ within the customer base to facilitate the achievement of consistency in best working practice, delivered through the definition and adoption of working practices that provide and maintain confidence in service delivery and drive continual improvement.
1.You will be responsible for driving forward and implementing the Client H&S strategy in accordance with ethical guidelines and corporate policies of both CBRE and our client, in our client’s buildings and the delivery of Contractual KPIs with demonstrable evidence of legal compliance. You will have significant experience of operating at both managerial and operational levels across office environments and understand the legislative frameworks across Ireland.
2.Liaise with the CBRE business line leaders and Customers to ensure expectations are understood and delivered, as far as is reasonable enabling suitable management of risk exposures.
3.Enable compliance with Client policy and strategy through management system audits.
4.Ensure the systems and processes you implement, across the sites reflect the intentions of CBRE and our clients and are in compliance with best industry practice (ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001).
5.Generate reports and status that refers to compliance to Client H&S procedures.
6.Ensure that staffs take a pro-active role in reporting and tracking Hazards
7.Develop client relations within the Client communities to drive confidence and integration throughout the business. Monitor the client systems to identify any gaps or conflicts so that the most effective safe system of working can be adopted.
8.Ensure that all necessary safe operating procedures are in place and that Client staff are fully familiarized.
9.Act as prime client / customer interface in region and across the Client’s portfolio for Statutory Compliance H&S issues.
10.Key Account Management interface with CBRE central QHSE functions highlight issues in relation to CBRE delivery,
11.Where relevant, lead and support initiatives and best practice activities in all areas of H&S management and promote and maintain the behaviours and values of the business.
12.Develop and ensure implementation of the customers H&S training strategy. Support its delivery to enable standards of H&S competence to be achieved and maintained in all locations.
13.Compile appropriate performance reports for the business / work stream and maintain performance monitoring, analysis and review against established metrics and standards to drive improvements.
14.Support effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate.
15.Conduct risk assessments, and oversee safety of facilities, maintenance, operations and building upgrade projects.
16.Ensuring appropriate investigation of all incidents and facilitates corrective action to prevent future occurrence.
17.Prepare accurate and up-to-date information used in incident analysis. Using root cause analysis to determine incident trends and unsafe activities as well as provide documentation for regulatory agencies.
18.Disseminating information to support the implementation of Client H&S policies, procedures and standards ensuring integration with Client business partners’ standard operating procedures and management systems
19.Conducting safety inspections and supervise H&S briefings and metrics.
20.Developing, coordinating, and implementing H&S training in line with a risk assessment identifying requirements such as safety inductions, display screen / ergonomics training, manual handling, etc.
21.Carrying ergonomic assessments and providing advice on ergonomics and employee safety.
22.Coordinates contractor safety program by reviewing companies’ safety statements, method risk assessment, work permits, contractor safety inspections and organizing contractor safety inductions.
23.Develops and coordinate Emergency Response Team, organizes regular fire drills, training and advice on fire safety.
24.Keeps appraised of new legislation/ technological changes and communication to the relevant parties.
